Eligibility Criteria / पात्रता मापदंड
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have 60% minimum marks or equivalent GPA in M.Sc or equivalent degree in Physics, Astronomy/Astrophysics, Geology, Geophysics, Earth Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science; or must have 75% in M.Tech or M.E in relevant disciplines.
- Desirable Skills: Knowledge of Python programming; Expertise in Spectroscopy, Physical Chemistry, Mineralogy, or Geochemistry will be an advantage.
- Age Limit: Maximum age is 28 years (age relaxation applicable as per government rules).
Selection Process / चयन प्रक्रिया
The selection will be based on an online/offline interview conducted by the NISER committee. No written exam will be held.

Salary Details / वेतन संरचना
Candidates who hold a valid National Level Examination such as CSIR-UGC-NET (LS or JRF), GATE, or JEST will receive ₹37,000 per month plus HRA.
For candidates without such qualifications, a stipend of ₹31,450 per month plus HRA will be paid.
उम्मीदवारों को जो राष्ट्रीय स्तर की परीक्षा में सफल हैं, उन्हें ₹37,000/- + HRA मासिक वेतन मिलेगा। अन्य उम्मीदवारों को ₹31,450/- + HRA मिलेगा।
General Instructions / सामान्य निर्देश
- The position is temporary till the project completion or March 31, 2026, whichever is earlier.
- This recruitment does not confer any right for a future job at NISER.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending interview or joining the position.
- PhD registration is not part of this position.
