Railway Recruitment Cell, Central Railway (RRC/CR) has invited online applications for recruitment against the Scouts and Guides Quota for the year 2026-27. A total of 12 vacancies are available in Level 1 and Level 2 categories across various divisions like Mumbai, Bhusawal, Nagpur, Pune, and Solapur. Eligible candidates from all communities can apply online between 13th July 2026 and 12th August 2026 through the official RRC website.

Vacancy Details / रिक्ति विवरण
The recruitment notification includes 2 posts in Level 2 and 10 posts in Level 1 across 5 divisions: Mumbai, Bhusawal, Nagpur, Pune, and Solapur. The vacancy count is provisional and subject to change.

Eligibility Criteria / पात्रता मानदंड
Nationality / राष्ट्रीयता
- Candidate must be Indian citizen or from Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugee before 1962, or person of Indian origin from specified countries with eligibility certificate.
उम्मीदवार भारतीय नागरिक होना चाहिए या नेपाल, भूटान का नागरिक, 1962 से पहले भारत में बसे तिब्बती शरणार्थी, या अनुमोदित प्रमाणपत्र के साथ निर्दिष्ट देशों से भारतीय मूल का व्यक्ति।
Educational Qualification / शैक्षिक योग्यता
- Level 2: 12th pass with 50% marks (relaxed for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen) OR Matric plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship OR Matric plus NCVT/SCVT-approved ITI.
लेवल 2: 12वीं पास कम से कम 50% अंक (एससी/एसटी/पूर्व सैनिकों के लिए छूट) या मैट्रिक प्लस अप्रेंटिसशिप पूरा किया हुआ कोर्स या मैट्रिक प्लस एनसीवीटी/एससीवीटी से अनुमोदित आईटीआई। - Level 1: 10th pass OR ITI OR equivalent OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from NCVT.
लेवल 1: 10वीं पास या आईटीआई या समकक्ष या एनसीवीटी से राष्ट्रीय अप्रेंटिसशिप प्रमाणपत्र। - Candidates for Clerk-cum-Typist must acquire typing speed of 30 wpm English or 25 wpm Hindi within two years.
क्लर्क-कम-टाइपिस्ट के लिए अंग्रेजी में 30 शब्द प्रति मिनट या हिंदी में 25 शब्द प्रति मिनट टाइपिंग दक्षता दो वर्षों के भीतर आवश्यक है।
Scouts & Guides Qualification / स्काउट्स और गाइड्स योग्यता
- Must hold President Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger award or Himalayan Wood Badge (HWB).
- Active member of Scouts organisation for last 5 years (certificate needed).
- Attended at least 2 National-level and 2 State-level events.

Selection Process / चयन प्रक्रिया
Selection is through a Computer Based Test (CBT) and marks on certificates during document verification. There is no interview.
चयन कंप्यूटर आधारित परीक्षा (CBT) और दस्तावेज़ सत्यापन में प्रमाण पत्रों के अंक के आधार पर होगा। कोई साक्षात्कार नहीं होगा।
Written Test Details / लिखित परीक्षा विवरण
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Questions: 40 Objective + 1 Essay type on Scouts & Guides and general knowledge
- Total Marks: 60 (Objective - 40 marks, Essay - 20 marks)
- Negative marking: 1/3rd mark deduction for every wrong objective answer
- Languages: English & Hindi

Total 40 marks allotted based on certificates submitted for National, State, District events and specialized Scout/Guide courses.
