OUAT Assistant Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline for 31 Assistant Posts
The Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar, has officially invited applications for the recruitment of 31 Assistant posts on a contractual basis. This recruitment is targeted at eligible candidates holding a graduate degree. The application process is offline, starting from 13th July 2026 and concluding on 12th August 2026 (5:00 PM). - The recruitment is for the positions of Assistants to be posted in Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) under OUAT.
भर्ती ओडिशा कृषि विश्वविद्यालय के अंतर्गत कृषि विज्ञान केंद्रों (KVKs) में सहायक पदों के लिए है। - Total vacancies: 31 posts with reservation for SC/ST/SEBC/PWD/Women candidates.
कुल 31 पद, जिसमें अनुसूचित जाति/जनजाति/SEBC/PWD/महिला आरक्षण शामिल हैं। - Selection will be made through a written test followed by a qualifying skill test.
चयन लिखित परीक्षा एवं योग्यता कौशल परीक्षा द्वारा होगा। - Application fee is Rs. 500, payable through State Bank of India (SBI) OUAT Campus branch.

Eligibility Criteria
योग्यता मानदंड
Educational Qualification / शैक्षिक योग्यता
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
उम्मीदवार के पास मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय से स्नातक की डिग्री होनी चाहिए।
They must also have passed Odia as a subject up to 7th standard, and the certificate must be attached.
साथ ही, उम्मीदवार ने 7वीं कक्षा तक ओड़िया विषय पास किया होना अनिवार्य है, जिसके प्रमाणपत्र आवेदन पत्र के साथ संलग्न करना होगा।
Age Limit / आयु सीमा
Maximum age is 30 years as on last date of application.
आयु सीमा अधिकतम 30 वर्ष है।
Age relaxation is applicable as follows:
- COVID-19 relaxation: 3 years (up to 33 years)
- ST/SC/SEBC/Women: 5 additional years
- PWD candidates: 10 years as per rules
Pay Scale and Salary Details
वेतनमान और वेतन विवरण
The salary for Assistant post is offered as per the 7th Pay Commission Pay Level-9: Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400.
सहायक पद के लिए वेतनमान 7वें वेतन आयोग के अनुसार स्तर-9: ₹35,400 से ₹1,12,400 है।
Alternatively, pre-revised pay band PB-2 (₹9,300-34,800) plus grade pay ₹4,200 may be followed, or as per the funding agency ICAR.
पूर्व संशोधित वेतन पट्टी PB-2 (₹9,300-34,800) तथा ग्रेड पे ₹4,200 भी लागू हो सकता है, या ICAR फंडिंग एजेंसी के अनुसार वेतन दिया जाएगा।

Selection Process
चयन प्रक्रिया
The selection will be based on the following stages:
चयन निम्नलिखित चरणों के आधार पर होगा:
- Written Test (150 marks): It includes General English (50), General Awareness (50) and Quantitative Aptitude/Reasoning (50). Duration: 2 hours.
लिखित परीक्षा (150 अंक): सामान्य अंग्रेजी (50), सामान्य जागरूकता (50), गणितीय योग्यता/तर्कशक्ति (50)। समय अवधि: 2 घंटे। - Qualifying Skill Test: Computer proficiency test for those shortlisted in written exam (ratio 1:4). This test is qualifying only and final merit will be based on written exam scores.
कौशल परीक्षण: लिखित परीक्षा में चयनित अभ्यर्थियों का 1:4 अनुपात में कंप्यूटर दक्षता परीक्षा। यह परीक्षा केवल योग्यता की है, अंतिम मेरिट केवल लिखित परीक्षा के आधार पर बनेगी।

- Visit the official OUAT website and download the application form (Annexure-II) and instruction booklet.
आधिकारिक वेबसाइट www.ouat.ac.in पर जाएं और आवेदन पत्र (परिशिष्ट-II) तथा सूचना पत्र डाउनलोड करें। - Fill the form carefully in block letters including all required details.
आवेदन पत्र को सावधानीपूर्वक ब्लॉक अक्षरों में भरें। - Pay the application fee of Rs. 500/- through the specified SBI account via GCC, Internet Banking, or RTGS.
निर्दिष्ट SBI खाते में 500 रुपये आवेदन शुल्क जमा करें। - Attach self-attested copies of all required documents and the fee receipt to the completed application form.

महत्वपूर्ण निर्देश और शर्तें
- Late applications will not be accepted; university is not responsible for postal delays.
देर से आए आवेदन स्वीकार नहीं किए जाएंगे। डाक में हो रही देरी के लिए विश्वविद्यालय जिम्मेदार नहीं होगा। - Incomplete applications will be rejected without any correspondence.
अधूरा आवेदन पत्र निरस्त किये जाएंगे। - KVK staff is contract-based depending on ICAR funding and is not entitled to any permanent benefits.
KVK कर्मचारी केवल आईसीएआर फंडिंग के तहत संविदात्मक हैं, उन्हें स्थायी लाभ नहीं मिलेंगे। - Transfer can only be within KVKs.
