Educational Qualification / शैक्षणिक योग्यता
Candidates must possess a recognized medical qualification listed in Schedule I & II or part II of the third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Postgraduate qualifications such as MD/MS or equivalent are required. For surgical super-specialties, M.Ch qualification is necessary, and for medical super-specialties, candidates should have D.M. qualification. The duration may vary from 2 to 6 years depending on the specialty.
अभ्यर्थी के पास भारतीय मेडिकल काउंसिल एक्ट, 1956 की अनुसूची I & II या तीसरी अनुसूची के भाग II में सूचीबद्ध मान्यता प्राप्त चिकित्सा योग्यता होनी चाहिए। पोस्टग्रेजुएट योग्यता जैसे एमडी/एमएस या समकक्ष अनिवार्य है। सर्जिकल सुपरस्पेशलिटी के लिए एम.च और मेडिकल सुपरस्पेशलिटी के लिए डी.एम योग्यता आवश्यक है। कोर्स की अवधि 2 से 6 वर्ष तक हो सकती है।
Experience Required / आवश्यक अनुभव
For Additional Professor:
- 10 years teaching/research experience after MD/MS OR
- 8 years experience after D.M./M.Ch (2 or 5 years course) OR
- 7 years experience with 3 or 6 years D.M./M.Ch course.
For Associate Professor:
- 6 years teaching/research experience after MD/MS OR
- 4 years experience after D.M./M.Ch (2 or 5 years course) OR
- 3 years experience with 3 or 6 years D.M./M.Ch course.

Maximum age limit is 50 years as of the last date of application. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms:
