Eligibility Criteria
पात्रता मानदंड
Professor (Epidemiology) – Medical
- Medical qualification recognized under Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- MD (Community Health Administration) / MD(PSM) / MD (Community Medicine) / DNB (SPM) or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years postgraduate teaching experience including 3 years as Associate Professor.
- At least 4 Research publications with 2 as Associate Professor in journals indexed by Medline, PubMed, Scopus, etc.
- Completed Basic course in Medical Education Technology and Biomedical Research as per NMC guidelines.
- Desirable: 3 years administrative experience and epidemiological research work.
Reader (Community Health Administration)
- Medical qualification as per Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Postgraduate degree such as MD(CHA)/MD(PSM)/MD(Community Medicine) or its equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years teaching experience as Lecturer/Assistant Professor in a recognized Medical College.
- Evidence of good quality published work in last 5 years.
- Desirable: 1 year administrative experience in a responsible role.
Salary Details

- Professor: Academic Pay Level 14 - ₹1,44,200 to ₹2,18,200 + NPA
- Reader: Academic Pay Level 12 - ₹79,800 to ₹2,11,500
Age Limit
आयु सीमा
The maximum age is 50 years as of 1 July 2025. Age relaxation up to 5 years is applicable for government servants and employees of autonomous institutions under the government.
