Eligibility Criteria / योग्यता विवरण
1. Educational Qualification & Experience / योग्यता एवं अनुभव
- Ex-Servicemen JCO (Subedar or higher rank) OR equivalent rank in paramilitary forces with at least 10 years' experience in security services.
- Short Service Commissioned Officers/Assistant Commandants (CRPF/BSF/ITBP) with 5 years' experience in security.
- Para-Military Inspectors with minimum 10 years security experience.
2. Age Limit / आयु सीमा
Maximum age is 35 years as on 02-02-2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per Govt. of India rules for eligible Ex-Servicemen candidates only. SC/ST/OBC candidates applying for unreserved posts are not eligible for relaxation.
आयु सीमा 35 वर्ष अधिकतम है (02-02-2026 तक)। आयु में छूट केवल पात्र पूर्व सैनिकों के लिए लागू होगी। SC/ST/OBC के लिए छूट लागू नहीं है यदि वो UR पद के लिए आवेदन कर रहे हैं।

Job Description / नौकरी विवरण
The Security Officer will oversee overall security at CSIR-CIMFR including surveillance, record keeping, emergency response, coordination with local authorities, and supervising security personnel in shifts (24x7).
सुरक्षा अधिकारी की जिम्मेदारी CIMFR परिसर की पूरी सुरक्षा प्रबंधन, घटनाओं को नियंत्रित करना, रिकॉर्ड संभालना, स्थानीय प्रशासन से समन्वय करना और सुरक्षा कर्मियों की निगरानी करना होगी।
Salary & Benefits / वेतन एवं लाभ
Pay Scale: Level-7 (Rs. 44,900 – 1,42,400) as per 7th CPC.
Approximate monthly emoluments: Rs. 78,000/- including HRA at Dhanbad.
Additional benefits: Dearness Allowance (DA), Transport Allowance, Pension Scheme (NPS 2004 for new enlisted), and others as per government norms.

Selection Process / चयन प्रक्रिया
Candidates will undergo:
1. Physical and Personality Assessment Test (qualifying).
2. Written Examination for those qualified in physical test.
3. Final merit list based on written exam (Paper-II marks).
4. Ties resolved as per official norms.
उम्मीदवारों का चयन शारीरिक एवं व्यक्तित्व परीक्षण (अर्हता प्राप्त), उसके बाद लिखित परीक्षा एवं अंतिम मेरिट सूची के आधार पर किया जाएगा।
Physical Standards & Test / भौतिक मानक एवं परीक्षा
Height: General - Male 167 cm, Female 157 cm (varies for Hilly Area/ST).
Chest (males): Exhaled 80 cm, Expanded 85 cm.
Physical Tests: 1600m run in 6 min 30 sec (male), long jump, chin-ups (male), push-ups (male), sit-ups (both), 800m run (female).

Written Exam Pattern / लिखित परीक्षा पत्र
- Paper-I: Objective Type (Mental Ability & Personality Assessment) - 100 questions, 90 minutes.
- Paper-II: Subjective (Comprehension, Report Writing, Security Regulations & Firefighting, General Awareness) - 2 hours, 100 marks.
- Exam medium: English & Hindi (bilingual).
पात्र कैंडिडेट्स को पहले लिखित परीक्षा (दो पेपर) में बैठना होगा। पेपर विषय और अवधि ऊपर अनुसार होगी।

SC/ST/Women: Exempted from fee.
