The selection will be based on a comprehensive evaluation including educational qualifications, vigilance record, Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs) of last five years, and performance in the interview. Candidates must secure at least 60% marks to qualify.

Interested and eligible IRSE officers need to apply online through the official RITES website's career section (rites.com). After completing the online registration, applicants must print and sign the generated registration form. Along with the prescribed format (Annexure III) and detailed CV, applications should be forwarded through their respective administrative officer (HOD) with required vigilance clearances and APARs. The application and supporting documents must reach the RITES office within 45 days from the vacancy notification date. An advance copy of the application can be sent directly to their email for record purposes.
