The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has announced a recruitment notification for the position of Policy Specialist in its MER division. Eligibility Criteria / पात्रता मानदंड
- Applicant must be an Indian citizen. / आवेदनकर्ता भारत का नागरिक होना अनिवार्य है।
- Master's degree or higher qualification from a reputed Indian or international university in any of the following fields: Economics, Development Cooperation, Development Partnership, International Relations, International Law, International Development, Strategic Studies, Public Administration, International Trade, Environment and Climate, Trade, Agriculture, Labour Economics, Energy, Health, Disaster Management, Anti-corruption.
प्रतिष्ठित भारतीय या अंतरराष्ट्रीय विश्वविद्यालय से उपरोक्त क्षेत्रों में मास्टर्स या इससे उच्च योग्यता अनिवार्य। - Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in multilateral work with UN agencies, International Organisations, consultancy or Government of India as Consultant/Advisor.
संयुक्त राष्ट्र एजेंसियों, अंतरराष्ट्रीय संगठनों या भारत सरकार में सलाहकार के रूप में 3 वर्ष का अनुभव आवश्यक। - Good writing, analytical, policy advocacy, and speech writing skills required. / लेखन, विश्लेषण, नीति निर्धारण एवं भाषण लेखन में प्रवीणता आवश्यक।
- Proficiency in computer applications like MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. / कंप्यूटर (वर्ड, एक्सेल, पॉवरपॉइंट) का ज्ञान अनिवार्य।
Age Limit / आयु सीमा
The maximum age limit is 40 years as on the last date of application submission (16 January 2026).
आवेदन की अंतिम तिथि 16 जनवरी 2026 तक उम्मीदवार की अधिकतम आयु 40 वर्ष होनी चाहिए।
Salary / वेतन
The selected candidates will be paid a consolidated consultancy fee up to ₹2.25 lakh per month. The amount will be fixed based on experience and profile and will remain unchanged throughout the contract.
चयनित उम्मीदवारों को मासिक ₹2.25 लाख तक का सम्मिलित शुल्क दिया जाएगा। यह अनुभव और प्रोफ़ाइल पर निर्भर करेगा।
Selection Process / चयन प्रक्रिया
- Application screening and shortlisting by MEA.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview or written test via email.
- Final selection will be at the sole discretion of the Government of India.
- विदेश मंत्रालय द्वारा आवेदनों की समीक्षा और शॉर्टलिस्टिंग।
- शॉर्टलिस्टेड उम्मीदवारों को ईमेल द्वारा साक्षात्कार के लिए बुलाया जाएगा।

General Instructions / सामान्य निर्देश
- This engagement is purely contractual without any regular government benefits.
यह अनुबंध आधारित है, जिसमें नियमित सरकारी लाभ नहीं होंगे। - No PF, pension, gratuity, or other allowances (including HRA) will be provided.
कोई PF, पेंशन, भत्ते आदि नहीं मिलेंगे। - The consultant must work full-time from 09:00 to 17:30 hrs, Monday to Friday. No extra pay for overtime or weekend work.
कार्य पूर्णकालिक है, सप्ताह में सोमवार से शुक्रवार, 09:00 से 17:30 तक। अतिरिक्त वेतन नहीं। - Leave entitlement is 1.5 days per completed month; maximum 10 days at a stretch.
अवकाश 1.5 दिन प्रति पूर्ण माह, अधिकतम 10 दिन एक बार। - Travel expenses related to official duties will be reimbursed per MEA norms.
यात्रा व्यय नियमानुसार स्वीकृत। - Incomplete or late applications will be rejected.
अधूरा या विलंबित आवेदन अस्वीकार्य।
