The posts of Mining Sirdar and Surveyor are essential supervisory and technical roles ensuring compliance with mining regulations. Eligibility Criteria / पात्रता मानदंड
Mining Sirdar T&S Grade C
- Option 1: Matriculation (10th pass) + Valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate from DGMS + Gas Testing Certificate + First Aid Certificate.
- Option 2: Matriculation + Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering + Valid Overman Competency Certificate + Gas Testing Certificate + First Aid Certificate.
Surveyor (Mining) T&S Grade B
- Option 1: Matriculation + Valid Surveyor Certificate of Competency (SCC) from DGMS.
- Option 2: Diploma/Degree in Mining or Mine Surveying Engineering + Valid Surveyor Certificate of Competency (SCC).
Note: Qualifications through distance learning or part-time study will not be accepted.
Age Limit & Relaxation / आयु सीमा और छूट
Candidates must be between 18 to 30 years as on August 5, 2026. Age relaxation as per government norms:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 years (max 50 years)
- Departmental candidates: No upper age limit

Selection Process & Exam Pattern / चयन प्रक्रिया और परीक्षा पैटर्न
Candidates will be selected through a Computer Based Test (CBT) of 100 marks, duration 90 minutes:
- Section A (Technical Knowledge): 70 MCQs related to mining-specific topics
- Section B (General Awareness & Aptitude): 30 MCQs including general knowledge, reasoning, verbal ability, arithmetic
No negative marking. The question paper will be bilingual (English and Hindi). Candidates will be allowed to choose exam centers as per the available options in online form.
