The Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) is recognized as an “Institution of National Importance” focusing on footwear and leather product education and development. The institute is recruiting experienced professionals for two high-level engineering positions on a long-term contract (3 to 5 years, extendable). These roles are based in the Head Office and require strong civil engineering backgrounds with hands-on project management experience.

Educational & Experience Requirements

Essential Qualification / आवश्यक योग्यता:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc) in Civil Engineering with at least 50% marks from a recognized university. A Master’s degree (M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc Engineering) in Civil Engineering is desirable.
Experience / अनुभव:
- Chief Engineer: Minimum 22 years of relevant experience involving planning, designing, controlling civil infrastructure projects, tender process management, preparation of work estimates, knowledge of CPWD manuals, and civil maintenance.
- Superintending Engineer: Minimum 20 years of similar relevant experience as Chief Engineer.
Desirable experience includes handling modifications of old projects, supervising multi-location civil, electrical, and mechanical maintenance, project coordination, and demonstration of leadership qualities.

Age Limit / आयु सीमा:
Minimum 18 years and maximum 55 years as on the date of notification. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India rules.
Salary / वेतन:
Monthly Cost to Institute (CTI) for Chief Engineer is ₹1,50,000 and for Superintending Engineer is ₹1,20,000. This includes Basic Pay, House Rent Allowance, Special Allowance, Provident Fund, Leave Encashment, LTC, and other benefits.

Candidates will be shortlisted based on qualifications and experience for a written test and/or interview. Meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee a call for the interview. FDDI reserves rights to modify vacancy numbers and reject applications without explanation.

- Employment is on contract basis, 3 to 5 years, extendable.
