The minimum educational criteria for Assistant Loco Pilot posts are:

RRB ALP Nationality Criteria 2026
राष्ट्रीयता मानदंड
Candidates must be:
- Indian citizens,
- OR Nepal/Bhutan subjects,
- OR Tibetan refugees who arrived before 1962 with permanent settlement intent,
- OR Persons of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanent residence.

Eyesight and Vision
- Distant vision must be 6/6, 6/9 (with/without glasses within power limits).
- Near vision must be N6 (with or without correction).
- Normal color vision is mandatory; color blindness is disqualifying.
- Binocular and night vision must be adequate.
- LASIK surgery may be acceptable under specific conditions.
