The Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL) has announced a walk-in recruitment drive for the year 2025. This recruitment aims to fill 13 vacancies for the positions of Commissioning Engineers (Mechanical/Electrical) and Commissioning Assistants. Candidates holding a Diploma or 10th standard certificate with appropriate experience are eligible to attend the walk-in interview. The walk-in selection will take place on 6th January 2026. Interested candidates should come prepared with their completed application form and original documents. Applications will be accepted only on the day of the walk-in interview.
उदूपि कोचीन शिपयार्ड लिमिटेड (यूसीएसएल) ने 2025 के लिए वॉक-इन भर्ती की घोषणा की है। यह भर्ती कमिशनिंग इंजीनियर (मैकेनिकल/इलेक्ट्रिकल) और कमिशनिंग असिस्टेंट के पदों के लिए कुल 13 रिक्तियां भरने के लिए है। डिप्लोमा धारक या 10वीं पास उम्मीदवार जिनके पास संबंधित अनुभव है, वे वॉक-इन इंटरव्यू में भाग ले सकते हैं। वॉक-इन सलेक्शन 6 जनवरी 2026 को होगा। इच्छुक उम्मीदवार अपने आवेदन पत्र और असली दस्तावेज़ लेकर आएं। आवेदन केवल वॉक-इन के दिन ही स्वीकार किए जाएंगे।

Eligibility Criteria / योग्यता विवरण
1. Commissioning Engineer (Mechanical)
कमिशनिंग इंजीनियर (मैकेनिकल)
- Diploma in Mechanical or Marine Engineering from a recognized institute.
मान्यता प्राप्त संस्थान से मैकेनिकल या मरीन इंजीनियरिंग में डिप्लोमा। - Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience in operation and maintenance of marine equipment.
प्रशिक्षण के बाद समुद्री उपकरणों के संचालन और रखरखाव में न्यूनतम 10 वर्ष का अनुभव। - Experience in commissioning & watch-keeping on Indian Navy ships is desirable.
भारतीय नौसेना के जहाजों पर कमिशनिंग और वॉच-कीपिंग का अनुभव वांछनीय।
2. Commissioning Engineer (Electrical/Electronics)
कमिशनिंग इंजीनियर (इलेक्ट्रिकल / इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स)
- Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
इलेक्ट्रिकल या इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स इंजीनियरिंग में डिप्लोमा। - Minimum 10 years experience in operation and maintenance of marine electrical/electronic systems.
समुद्री इलेक्ट्रिकल/इलेक्ट्रॉनिक सिस्टम के संचालन और रखरखाव में न्यूनतम 10 वर्ष का अनुभव। - Experience with computer-based instrumentation & weapon control on Navy ships is preferred.
नौसेना के जहाजों पर कंप्यूटर आधारित इंस्ट्रूमेंटेशन और वेपन कंट्रोल का अनुभव वांछनीय।
3. Commissioning Assistant (Electrician/Shipwright/Mechanician)
कमिशनिंग असिस्टेंट (इलेक्ट्रिशियन/शिपराइट/मैकेनिक)
- Minimum 10th standard pass.
न्यूनतम 10वीं कक्षा उत्तीर्ण। - At least 10 years of experience in operation and maintenance of marine equipment and systems.
समुद्री उपकरणों और सिस्टम के संचालन एवं रखरखाव में कम से कम 10 वर्षों का अनुभव। - Knowledge of NBCD systems is an added advantage.
NBCD सिस्टम की जानकारी सहायक होगी।

Selection Process / चयन प्रक्रिया
- Direct walk-in interview on 6 January 2026 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
6 जनवरी 2026 को सुबह 9:00 बजे से दोपहर 2:00 बजे तक साक्षात्कार। - Certificate verification will be conducted before the selection process.
चयन प्रक्रिया से पहले प्रमाण पत्र सत्यापन किया जाएगा। - Only candidates who clear document verification will be allowed for interview on the same day.

How to Apply / आवेदन प्रक्रिया
Candidates must download the application form from the official UCSL website and bring the filled application form in the prescribed format on the day of the walk-in. Carry all original documents and self-attested photocopies, including age proof, educational certificates, experience certificates, caste certificate, and Aadhaar card. A recent passport size photograph should be affixed to the application form.

- The contract is initially for 3 years, extendable by 2 years based on performance.
