The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) is one of India's premier institutions dedicated to social sciences research and education. The current recruitment is for project-based contract staff supporting various research projects. Positions include Research Officer (RO), Research Associate (RA), and Research Investigators (RI), with a total of 7 vacancies. The projects primarily focus on Tribal and Denotified Tribes (DNT) studies in Maharashtra.

Eligibility Criteria / पात्रता

1. Educational Qualification / शैक्षणिक योग्यता

• Research Officer:
  • MA in Sociology/Social Work/DNT Studies (Maharashtra)
  • Published research papers on DNTs
  • PhD or NET/SET qualification preferred
  • Experience in research coordination, data tools, literature review, and analysis including SPSS/Kobo/Excel

3. Language & Nationality / भाषा और राष्ट्रीयता

Candidates should have good communication skills in Marathi and English. Preference to candidates proficient in Marathi for data collection, FGDs, report writing, and case study documentation. Indian nationals only.

• No TA/DA will be provided for interview attendance
• Institute reserves the right to relax criteria and not fill all vacancies
